History

Founded at the end of the 1800's by Samuel Critchley, we are situated outside the gates of Agecroft Cemetery and boast one of the largest memorial showrooms in the north of England. Samuel's great-grandson, Michael, continues the family tradition and, with over 40 years of experience, is well placed to guide and advise his son Robert and daughter Sian.

We take great pride in our skills and expertise. All our memorials are manufactured to standards that exceed the NAMM Code of Working Practice. Well known in the industry - Michael was National President of NAMM in 2001 - and having a subsidiary company supplying the latest machinery and safety products to masons throughout the UK, we are widely regarded as setting the standards by which other masons are judged.
